HR Benefits Coordinator

The human resource coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of HR.  This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, orientation & training, performance management, payroll, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and compliance.
  1. A bachelor’s degree and five years’ human resource experience, or a master’s degree in human resource management and two years’ experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  2. Excellent computer proficiency skills with experience in MS office products is required. 
  3. PHR or SHRM – CP or SHRM SCP certification is preferred.
  4. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.  
  7. Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations.
  8. Experience administering employee benefit plans and compensation plans.
